What do paraplegic men say?
After facing challenges in collection of user data through interviews, we got responses from Reddit - an online forum.
90% of men lose the ability to orgasm just by normal masturbation using hand
Very few sex toys are out there for disabled people, and they are not very different from “normal” sex toys
Vibrations help a lot, some have tried vibrators to achieve an orgasm
Specific types of vibrations help men ejaculate

Why do we need a product?
We went through research papers, podcasts, talks and desk research, we came up with a compelling validation
World Health Organization identifies good sexual health as a human right and this right includes both freedom and entitlement

But why don't "normal" toys work?
And that is not the only reason, paraplegic men have other needs like easy clean up, specific vibration frequency, discretion, sense of belonging and more.

Superhero Sidekick
Introducing Eggbert
Paralysis doesn't cause only physical issues, there are mental issues as well. We came up with an application which features a super hero sidekick. The idea is to provide help to the user who is the "Hero", adding a touch of personality to the app

This app could be used anonymously. No personal details are recorded
Intro
Eggbert comes in and provides a few words of encouragement, all this adds a character to the app
First time user
This is not a type of application we see everyday. A quick tutorial will help the users understand the app
Connect with product
User data is saved through connecting the product to the app. Each product can have one user account. Never share a sex toy!
Ready to go!
Jump directly into the remote and play away! The product is touch controlled and multiple motors can be accessed. Like a pattern? Save it as a preset! Switch to Ultra mode to activate all motors!
Drills
Drills has 3 sections, Sexual health, Tutorials for the product and FAQs. This provides a solution to the questions the user might have

What did I learn?
User Research is numero uno
For projects such as this, limited information is available online. Sure, there are multiple research papers out there, but unless we speak to the users, core problems won't be identified
Anonymity
People tend to speak even if it is a sensitive topic. Anonymity provides a sense of security
Go beyond expectation
It is important to empathize with users and understand their feelings and needs even when they don't understand this themselves

Challenges
Sensitive topic
This was a very challenging project since it is a very sensitive topic. In our society, talking about sex is still considered taboo. We were still able to extract information through online information.
Primary research
The only person from our user group who agreed to speak to us backed out. We did not give up then, we knew that talking to direct users is a must, and we overcame the challenge through Reddit.
New market
SexTech is a fairly new market and is a new term. We were able to identify patterns in the market, analyze the strengths and weakness and come up with a simple yet unique solution.
